Description

Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) is a flavour enhancer that is added to food to bring out the savoury taste. It is a food additive used commonly in many foods and has been always associated with some or the other controversies. Monosodium glutamate is the sodium salt of glutamic acid, one of the most abundant naturally occurring non-essential amino acids. Monosodium glutamate is found naturally in tomatoes, cheese and other foods.
